Engineering innovation activity that may qualify for R&D Tax Credits

Technical detail. Commercial context.

We do the specialist work.
You keep moving forward.

Your team knows the projects. Your accountant knows the wider financial position. We bring the specialist questions that connect the two, with an approach tailored to the Irish service you need.

We start with the information you already hold: plans, development notes, test results and cost records. Where evidence is incomplete, we identify the gaps and explain what can be supported.

Kirsten Winsryg leads our Irish service, supported by colleagues across science, engineering, software and finance. Responsibilities, deliverables and fees are agreed before the paid work begins.

Working together, explained

Questions before we get started.

You do not need a finished claim or a detailed funding brief to start the conversation.

Speak to our Ireland team

We will discuss your business, current projects, previous claims and future innovation plans. The aim is to identify whether R&D tax credits, grants or other innovation funding opportunities may be relevant and explain the most practical next steps.

No. Many businesses are carrying out qualifying activity without recognising it as R&D. We will help you understand whether your projects involve scientific or technological advancement, uncertainty, investigation or experimentation.

Yes. We regularly work alongside accountants and other professional advisers. InnoFund can provide the specialist technical, sector and innovation funding expertise while your existing adviser continues to manage the wider tax and financial relationship.

This depends on the service and complexity of the project. Information may include project plans, technical records, testing results, development notes, staff details, cost records and evidence of the challenges your team worked to overcome.

We can work with your technical and financial teams to identify the evidence available and build an accurate account of the work undertaken. We can also introduce project-tracking templates and processes to improve record-keeping for future claims.

Yes. We can help review Revenue correspondence, clarify technical or financial information, strengthen supporting evidence and coordinate responses with your accountant or tax adviser.

No. We take a wider view of innovation funding and can also explore opportunities relating to the Knowledge Development Box, capital allowances, Enterprise Ireland supports and other Irish or European grant programmes.

Where there appears to be a suitable opportunity, we will recommend the next stage, explain the work involved and provide a clear proposal before any paid engagement begins.
