Her experience includes delivering end-to-end R&D tax credit claims, defending Revenue enquiries, and supporting innovation-focused organisations in maximising funding opportunities while ensuring strict compliance.

From leading the setup of a new Irish entity at RCK Partners to preparing and defending Revenue enquiries for large-scale R&D claims at The Change Innovation, Kirsten is an expert in delivering end-to-end R&D tax credit claims across multiple sectors.

She has developed audit-ready documentation and client processes to improve claim quality and defensibility, while actively advising on best practices for technical and financial evidence gathering. Furthermore, she provides specialised legislative guidance on the critical differences between the Irish R&D tax regimes.

Career & experience

Kirsten has over 10 years’ experience in R&D Credits and Innovation Grants.

During her nine-year tenure at Monaghan Mushrooms, Kirsten managed the financial oversight of more than 40 grant-funded R&D and innovation projects. She delivered comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across R&D activities, while building advanced financial models that improved reporting efficiency and significantly reduced manual workload.

Additionally, she has successfully managed VAT, Intrastat, VIES, and PAYE compliance, navigating complex EU trade reporting and international tax obligations under Irish Revenue regulations. Kirsten has authored comprehensive audit files and financial calculations for Revenue submissions, ensuring full compliance across the manufacturing, agriculture, technology, energy, construction, and waste processing sectors.
