Kirsten has over 30 years’ experience as a Senior R&D Tax Credit and Financial Management specialist across Ireland, the UK, and the US.
During her nine-year tenure at Monaghan Mushrooms, Kirsten managed the financial oversight of more than 40 grant-funded R&D and innovation projects. She delivered comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across R&D activities, while building advanced financial models that improved reporting efficiency and significantly reduced manual workload. In addition to her R&D tax consultancy, Kirsten's extensive career features significant accounting and financial leadership across diverse organisations. She produced monthly management accounts across multi-currency business units at Quinn Group (now Mannock), served as Interim Financial Controller at McElvaney Motors where she reduced outstanding debt by approximately £1 million through improved credit control, and delivered financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis for The Walt Disney Company in California. Throughout her self-employed consultancy work, she has also established robust financial systems, business plans, and funding proposals for SMEs.
