Career & experience

Alex brings over 35 years of hands-on IT and software consultancy experience.

With a career spanning major global financial institutions including JPMorgan, Chase Manhattan Bank, and Bank Austria Creditanstalt. Beginning as 2nd Vice President and AP/Technical Project Manager at Chase Manhattan Bank (1986–1990), he built deep expertise in enterprise-scale financial systems, software implementation, and technical project delivery.

He spent nearly 18 years as an IT Consultant at NYK Line (2002–2020), leading complex systems integration and digital transformation programmes across international operations. Earlier roles at JPMorgan (2000–2002) and Financial Objects / iBIS (1993–1997) cemented his reputation as a trusted technical authority in financial software development and systems architecture.

Since November 2021, Alex has served as Lead Software/IT R&D Tax consultant for InnoFund, applying his technical expertise to R&D Tax advisory. Over 5 years, he has developed specialist knowledge of qualifying software and IT activities under the BEIS and DSIT Guidelines, with particular focus on technology companies, digital innovation, and complex RDEC claims.
